Spring onions are vegetables characterised by green, white and yellow, tubular-shaped leaves grouped together to form a stem. They are rich in water, fibre, minerals and vitamins (A, B, C, E), trace elements such as sulphur, iron, potassium, magnesium, fluoride, calcium, manganese and phosphorus. Fat-free, they have a diuretic and anti-diabetic action and they are excellent health allies.
